Interactive multimedia installations.
Preservation and display of electronic lutherie between tradition and innovation.
The purpose of this one-day symposium is to tackle relevant topics about preservation and display of contemporary interactive installations. Artists, musicologists, persons in charge of prestigious music archives, experts in the field of musical heritage preservation, take part to the discussion. After the oral sessions, some interactive multimedia installations are exhibited to the public. The program ends with a concert in which the technologies discussed during the day are concretely exploited.
The event is organized in collaboration with Villa Contarini – Fondazione Ghirardi, and with SaMPL – Sound and Music Processing Lab.
